At today’s meeting of the Communities Committee:

I was elected onto the Regulation of Private Sector Rented Housing Sub-Committee alongside other members.
Members were also elected onto the Housing Adaptions Grants Appeals Sub-Committee, the Gypsy/Traveller Sub-Committee, the Aberdeen Foyer, Aberdeenshire Sports Council and Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action.

We discussed the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service Aberdeenshire Annual Summary Performance Report 1/4/16 – 31/3/17 and their Aberdeenshire Area Local FIre and Rescue Plan Review 2017.

We discussed Performance Monitoring information relating to the Aberdeenshire component of the North East Division of Police Sotland.

We noted the revenue and capital budget monitoring for the year ended 31st March 2017.

We acknowledged the Housing Service Quarterly Performance achieved January-March 2017, considered the measures where performance was below expectations, and the work done to alleviate fuel poverty.

We noted the unaudited Housing Revenue Account budget outturn position for 2016/17.

We agreed the consultation reponse from Aberdeenshire Council to the Scottish Government’s 83 page Energy Efficiency Programme Consulation Document.

We discussed the housing aspects of the Council’s Infrastructure Services Plan 2017-2020.

We also discussed, in private, the Sport & Physical Activity Annual Work Plan.
